Last year on it’s July 5th premiere, FX Network’s Snowfall racked in 5.5 million viewers across all linear platforms. After only five episodes into Season 1, the show was green-lighted for Season 2 and the Season 2 premiere is finally near.

As the network is preparing for the launch of the second season they have hosted advance screenings in Atlanta, GA, and Dallas, TX, and will be making a few more major city stops before it’s July 19th premiere. As apart of the advance screening, FX invites tastemakers and city influencers to preview Season 2’s first episode and participate in a live Q & A with Snowfall’s Executive Producer, Dave Andron, and actors, Damson Idris and Carter Hudson.

Snowfall continues its riveting story about the infancy of the crack cocaine epidemic and its ultimate radical impact on the culture as we know it. Season two follows an ensemble of characters that involves three different storylines as they all intersect and overlap within the mosaic of Los Angeles as the story enters 1984. Each character is working toward their ultimate goals of money, power, and influence including: Franklin Saint, a young street entrepreneur beginning to experience the perils of success; Teddy McDonald, a CIA operative who finds that his off-book drug-funded operation may be vulnerable to unexpected sources, both personal and professional; and Gustavo “El Oso” Zapata and Lucia Villanueva, the drug-running couple who discover the potency of crack and try to exploit it, despite the new dangers involved.

Snowfall is created by John Singleton & Eric Amadio and Dave Andron and Executive Produced by Singleton, Andron, Thomas Schlamme, Amadio, Michael London and Trevor Engelson. Andron will serve as showrunner. Tune in to Snowfall‘s Season 2 premiere on July 19 10/9pm C on FX.
