Sometimes love doesn’t love forever.

After 14 years of marriage, Kevin Garnett and Brandi Padilla are throwing in the towel, per TMZ Sports.

Brandi has filed her divorce papers in Los Angeles and it’s reported, irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split according to legal documents. They have two girls, Brandi is requesting for physical custody with KG getting visitation, and she’s seeking spousal support. The split comes just two years after Garnett retired from the NBA in 2016.

Padilla was a longtime girlfriend of Garnett, and the two tied the knot in July 2004 during a private ceremony in California.  KG even skipped competing in the Athen’s Olympic Games because of the wedding.

Garnett spent 21 seasons playing professional basketball and won a championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008 and even nabbed an MVP Award. In 2013, Garnett scored the 25,000th point of his career, making him the 16th person in NBA history to ever score that many points.

According to NBC Sports, Garnett is “the only player in history to have at least 25,000 points, 10,000 rebounds, 5,000 assists, 1,500 blocks, and 1,500 steals over the course of his career.
