After being released on parole back in January, Kevin Gates was slow to officially return to the music scene as he strategically put his ducks in a row to ensure his return would be a highly impactful one. Since returning to social media back in May we’ve been able to witness the making of a lot of new music from Gates — some released and some unreleased. He released his 3-song EP Chained to the City on May 11th, proving how second nature rapping is for the Louisiana native and how his 15-month hiatus from music can’t compare to his effortless talent.
Since his return to social media, Kevin Gates has not missed an opportunity to hashtag the words #ImHim on all of his posts in which one can insinuate is the title of an album that is to be released sooner than we think.
Today, Kevin Gates took to Instagram to release a new song titled “Intro Edition” via YouTube.
Although there are no official visuals for the newly released song, Kevin Gates makes up for it with five minutes of audio play and no official hook but non-stop ammunition. Check it out below.
