Friday, August 3rd, Great Minds presents the second installment of I Still Love HER, a monthly event dedicated to celebrating Masters of Hip Hop.
Following the success of the first event, the Great Minds team has put together a line up of three Hip Hop Icons: The pioneer of breakbeats, producer and beat maker Breakbeat Lou, responsible for nearly every classic Hip-Hop beat made from 1986-199, Lord Finesse, the leader of the legendary D.I.T.C.(Diggin’ In The Crates) crew, indisputably one of the greatest hip hop producers of all times and world-renowned DJ as well as poet, educator, music producer and international recording artist, Rich Medina.
These artists not only have a copious musical hitory, but continue to keep the legacy of Hip
Hop alive and push its evolution further.
“This is truly a unique event in music designed to celebrate and spread the positivity and
richness of Hip Hop Culture,” explains co-founder Kate Storch. “We could not be more thrilled to
have a lineup full of artists who have had a profound effect on Hip Hop history as well as on our
own lives.”
This month’s event will serve as the unofficial after party for that day’s Summer Stage concert at
Crotona Park, including Nice and Smooth, and Special Ed, so expect some exciting guest
appearances.
