South Texas was the scene of a murder-suicide at a nursing home that left five people dead on Friday night. WLWT reports officers were dispatched to an active shooter situation at the Retama Manor Nursing Center.
At the scene, three bodies were found dead, one woman and two men, one of which was the shower. Authorities received another call that told the police to visit the home of one of the dead at the nursing home and there were two additional people found dead.
“Current information will remain scarce because we are looking at a murder investigation and not compromising anything that might impede that investigation,” Police Chief Erasmo Flores issued in a press release. “Our hearts go out to the victims’ families and the residents, visitors and employees at Retama Manor who experienced this tragedy.”
