Queen Bey is back and has the power to control which is why it is not shocking to hear that she hired a black photographer to shoot the September issue for Vogue. For 126 years, this is the first ever Beyonce has taken control in hiring the process of hand-picking a 23-year-old photographer, who is from Atlanta, New York City-based Tyler Mitchell.

Huffington Post reports that Beyonce has been contributing some of her own writing for the issue. Also, Vogue editor-in-chief, Anna Wintour, is controlled over styling and picking out the costume by giving those who appear on the cover. It is more than likely to be Anna’s last issue as an editor.

According to a Huff Post source, the reason the 23-year-old black photographer is shooting Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is the singer used her power and influence to get him that assignment. Mitchell has shot several campaigns that include Givenchy, Nike; and music videos that include Brockhampton and so much more.
