Robert Allen’s public defender in his first degree murder and robbery with a firearm cases is claiming a conflict of interest and is asking to be withdrawn as Allen’s representation.

Being that the Broward County Public Defender’s office represents Allen and at least one of the other defendants, Dedrick WIlliams, so the office believes it ethically precludes them from representing Allen and claims the “interests of Mr. Williams are adverse to the interest of Mr. Allen and this adverse interest should be the subject of effective cross-examination.”
