Hip Hop’s dynamic duo reunited for a one-off anniversary concert, which carried over into a proper tour. In partnership with Urban Legends, the pioneering rap duo then reissued their entire catalogue on vinyl for the first time with the release of box set, The Complete Collection 1987-1992. This was not only a mighty monument to Eric B & Rakim’s larger-than-life catalog, this ten-disc vinyl/CD set is the first U.S. career expanding box set for a hip hop artist.
The duo is now topping off their whirlwind year with ice cream by taken over the culture-driven, Manhattan-based ice cream shop Mikey Likes It, providing a flavor of month, coined “Follow The Leader”. The fresh blueberry ice cream with golden and chocolate sandwich cookie piece and a sea salt caramel swirl is a nod to the Urban Legend’s recently debuted Eric B & Rakim: The Complete Collection. Customers that purchase the waffle version of the ice cream are eligible for an enter-to-win for the box-set (1 box set per location).
