Happy Monday! Today on The Source Report, our correspondent Zae Diggs (no relation to Taye Diggs), talks about how the whole world lost its mind over the weekend when Nicki Minaj released her long-awaited album, Queen, on Friday. One song in particular that has everyone talking is called “Barbie Dreams.” The song talks about all the guys she might want to sleep with in the industry if they could shake one or two of their quirks.
Kanye West also released a controversial song. A new track called “Xtacy” implied that he would smash all four of his sisters in law. The legendary DJ Clark Kent released the track on Twitter and like the Queen record, caused FANdomonium.
Someone else who had an exciting weekend was Spike Lee. This weekend, his critically acclaimed film BlacKkKlansman turned in a solid profit for its opening weekend. Based on BlackKkKlansman’s $15 million budget, the Brooklyn director looks to cash in on his investment and then some earning 10.8 million this opening weekend.
