After Nicki Minaj’s “Barbie Dreams” hit the Internet many fans wondered how the numerous rappers would react and the Queen let us know the track named people she had a positive relationship with. During her time with Funk Flex, Nicki revealed that there was a rapper who was a little offended but was surprised to find out Desiigner was not a “Special Ed” student.
In “Barbie Dreams” Minaj raps:
“I remember when I used to have a crush on Special Ed
Shoutout Desiigner ’cause he made it out of special ed
You wanna fuck me, you gotta give some special head
‘Cause this pussy have these niggas on some special meds”
Asking about the line with the G.O.O.D. Music rapper, Flex wondered why Nicki included that line. “Wasn’t he in special ed?” she responded. Flex confirms he wasn’t before the two share a laugh over Nicki just dropping the record before checking in on it. Nicki went on to show some remorse before stating “I thought this was going to be a fun record” and detailing her bar about Meek was true.
