With Jordan Brand sitting front and center at the Nike family table, it’s always expected that the two sportswear stalwarts do in fact merge when it comes to design ideas. The latest collab? A fresh release of the classic Nike SB Dunk, constructed to look like the fan-favorite Air Jordan 11 “Bred” colorway. Talk about sibling resemblance.

The best skate shoe on the market looking like the illest basketball sneakers to go hard in the paint? This might sound like a bit of an oxymoron, but the mashup is just the right amount of wild to actually work. It really comes down to the execution of the patent leather — the placement has to be perfect in order to capture the same vibe of the AJ 11s. With the SB Dunks, the feat is pulled off successfully as the patent leather extends throughout the entire upper, heel and Swoosh, save for the mesh side panels and tongue. The translucent red sole is also done right, almost to the point where you’d need to do a double take if you saw these on someone’s feet walking down the street. Twinning!

The Bred 11-inspired Nike SB Dunk High colorway seen here is expected for a November release, but check out official photos below while more info arrives for the pricing and drop date:
