Cardi B is set to return to the global stage as the opening performer at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. The Invasion of Privacy creator will hit the stage Monday at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City and could possibly walk away as the night’s biggest winner as she is nominated for 10 awards.
Cardi has an assortment of singles that she can perform when she hits the stage, “I Like It” is a couple of weeks removed from being the number one record on the Billboard chart and she is preparing the Kehlani assisted “Ring” to be the next single. She also has features alongside Maroon 5 and DJ Khaled and Jennifer Lopez that could make it to the stage.
JLo is lined up for a big night and is set to receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Additional performances for the show include Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Logic and more.
With her withdrawal from Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic World Tour, fans had no clue when they would see Cardi B return to the stage citing the planned six weeks to recover from the birth of Kulture as not enough time to be ready for the tour. Cardi B was replaced by the combination of Ciara, Ella Mai, Charlie Wilson and Boyz II Men.
