Janet Jackson is back in full force. The 52-year-old entertainer released her latest Summer bop featuring Daddy Yankee titled, “Made For Now.” This new tune marks her first single ever since the 2016 “Dammn Baby.”
Jackson is scheduled to perform the new single on Friday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. This appearance will make Janet’s first late-night appearance in 14 years.
The icon is currently on the second North American leg of her State of the World tour in support of her eleventh studio album, Unbreakable. During her set at Essence Fest, she sadly revealed that she considered canceling the tour following the death of her father, Joe Jackson.

“You know, it’s always difficult when you lose a loved one and to be quite honest it was really hard for me. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know how to move forward. If I should cancel this festival, cancel the entire tour,” she told the crowd. “I think my father would’ve said, ‘Janet, please. Finish what you’ve started.’”
Janet Jackson is also scheduled to perform at Global Citizen Festival next month.
