Taraji’s Boutique of Hope is slated celebrate the launch of The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation on September 22, 2018 in Beverly Hills.
This special fundraising event will provide an opportunity for a limited number of guests to shop from Taraji’s closet. Proceeds will go towards BLHF’s first initiative, “A Little Piece of Heaven”, which will bring art to inner city school bathrooms to help combat issues like depression, bullying and suicide among African-American youth.
Why bathrooms?
Because violence and self-harm often occurs in spaces where adults are not present. The BLH Foundation wants to remind youth they are not alone through expressions of art. To donate, go to our website at www.blhensonfoundation.org.
The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2018 by Taraji P. Henson and led by Executive Director, Tracie Jade Jenkins. The foundation is named in honor of Ms. Henson’s father, Boris Lawrence Henson, who suffered with mental health challenges as a result of his tour of duty in the Vietnam War.
