Earlier this month, Yohji Yamamoto blessed us with some new Y-3 heat in the form of a new Kaiwa silhouette, and now we’ve got a full range of apparel to go with it as Chapter 2 in the brand’s Fall/Winter 2018 collection makes its way to retail this week.
With an outdoors-inspired lookbook, shot in Los Angeles by photographer Angelo Pennetta, the collection reveals a cool set of premium outwear, sportswear staples that incorporate modern cuts and tailoring, and a good handful of winter-ready materials — wool, tweed, quilted and neoprene included — that will have you entering the autumn conditions with both style and proper protection. The Adizero Runner stands in as the offering on the footwear side, giving us a slim, mid-cut Bashyo II constructed from canvas, leather, and suede on the upper and finished off with a rubber toe cap. If you’re ready to level up and layer up this fall, Y-3 is the route to go.
