The biggest event of the weekend was the marathon homegoing service that honored Aretha Franklin. While plenty of tributes were had to honor the greatest singer of all-time, there were a couple of controversial moments. Of the head-scratching moments was the groping of Ariana Grande’s chest by Bishop Charles H. Ellis III. When it was pointed out online Luke Cage star Mike Colter quoted the tweet with “Now THIS is how you shoot your shot! Zero FCKS!!”

The tweet from Colter has received backlash in the online community, with many tweeting Netflix requesting that the star of the show be replaced. After the backlash, Colter issued an apology on Twitter:

Hello all. I apologize about my tweet earlier. In no way do I condone any such behavior. It was intended to point out the absurdity of the act itself. Complete and biting sarcasm. I realized quickly that it was not taken as such. I was at an event all day. Sorry for the delay

Mike Colter wasn’t the only one who issued an apology. Bishop Ellis also released an apology to Grande following the funeral.

“It would never be my intention to touch any woman’s breast. … I don’t know I guess I put my arm around her. Maybe I crossed the border, maybe I was too friendly or familiar but again, I apologize. I hug all the female artists and the male artists. Everybody that was up, I shook their hands and hugged them. That’s what we are all about in the church. We are all about love. The last thing I want to do is to be a distraction to this day. This is all about Aretha Franklin.”
