The hugely popular Joe Budden Podcast with Mal and Rory recently discussed the unpopular opinion/rumor that Lauryn Hill may not have fully credited the appropriate people on her debut smash solo studio album in 1998. Her now 1.5 x Diamond selling album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill featuring Carlos Santana, Mary J. Blige and D’Angelo (credited) was hugely successful internationally ever since it was released twenty years ago and contained the singles “Doo Wop (That Thing),” “Ex-Factor” and “Everything Is Everything” on Ruffhouse Records x Columbia Records.

The seventy-minute, 14-track, record-breaking album is widely considered as one of the greatest Neo-Soul hip-hop albums of all-time and has certainty immortalized Lauryn Hill in hip-hop’s hall of fame following on from her earlier 2x Diamond “Score” album with the Fugees which also earned a Grammy. Click below to hear what the trio from The Joe Budden Podcast have to say on this topic that has followed this album in some shape since its release when there was a lawsuit brought against Hill by New Ark, which resulted in a multi-million dollar out of court settlement against her in 2001.
