LeBron James is having the best philanthropic off-season of all-time.
The new Los Angeles Laker was recently honored by Harlem’s Fashion Row for his sense of style and philanthropy. Fashion Row teamed up with Nike for the event to highlight diversity in the fashion industry. The event ended with the unveiling of LeBron’s newest sneaker release. His newest release was designed by three African-American women.
In James acceptance speech, he honors the three most instrumental women in his life. While holding his daughter, James thanks his mother and wife. “Because of you, Gloria James, “I’m able to be in the position today, where i can give back and showcase why I believe African American women are the most powerful women in the world.”
Last month, King James opened the I Promise school in his hometown of Akron, OH, fulfilling more than one promise to his hometown and the state of Ohio. He also thanks his daughter as well for helping him to become a more stronger and sensitive person.
While in NY, James also stopped by Christ the King High School on Tuesday with some amazing gifts. The four-time regular season MVP teased the moment with a video on hs Instagram story. Then he stepped into a gym of shocked students.

James has raised the bar for philanthropic efforts this summer. As an internationally renowned leader, he continues to do more than “shut up and dribble.” The father of three is a prime example of how future role models should lead our next generation.
