Jordan Brand is always one for putting on for the home team, especially when it comes to the brand athletes on board. In the case of Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony — top three stars on the squad for sure — the love is very strong, enough for them to get colorways dedicated to their respective high school alma maters.

After CP3 and Westbrook started things off with their iterations, Jordan Brand chose Carmelo Anthony to close things out with a tribute to his old boarding school Oak Hill Academy. Utilizing the Air Jordan 13 as a base, the school’s signature “Gold” and “University Red” plays out perfectly on the silhouette. The former hue is used sparingly on the sole and tongue logo, meanwhile the gold takes over the shoe’s classic wraparound suede side panel. Melo adds his own touch as well, including a “Class of 2002” graphic on the right insole. Ultimately though, this colorway is so fire that it would’ve done well even outside of the parties involved.

Expect the Air Jordan 13 “Melo” to arrive on September 15 at JB retailers, but peep the set of photos below for a better look:.
