Throughout the Labor Day weekend, Cosby Show star, Geoffrey Owens, was the topic of discussion after a fan recorded him while on duty as a Trader Joe’s cashier. The Daily Mail initiated the job shaming posts that put social media into a frenzy. Nonetheless, Fox News picked up the story in which caught the attention of other popular actors who made it their business to highlight Owens efforts towards being a dedicated actor while still doing what it takes to take care of himself and his family.
After the social media uproar of negativity, Tyler Perry took to Twitter to offer Owens a job. Shortly after, Nicki Minaj took to her Queen Radio show to express her support of Owens. Nicki took to Instagram making a post about Owens that emphasized her disgust with the person who took the picture and pitched the story while also expressing her love and admiration for Owens and his role on the Cosby Show.
During her radio show, Nicki finally let fan know that she wanted to help Owens in any ay she can. She stated, “I personally want to donate on behalf of Queen Radio $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens. You know why? Imma tell you something. This man is a whole f**king legend in these streets.”
