An Atlanta mother turned in her son after seeing his face on the news as a suspect in a crime.

According to local media, she walked him right into the police station after finding out that her son was allegedly involved in a carjacking that took the life of a 24-year old father.

Surveillance video showed the teen along with three other suspects when he was spotted by his crime-fighting mom.

“Police say that two men were in a car at an apartment complex in East Point on Monday night when three men approached the car with guns”, WSBTV in Atlanta reports.

The victim, 24-year-old Terrick Matthews, was asleep in the car’s passenger seat.

Matthews tried to comply with the gunmen, but was still shot in the neck and died from his injuries.

According to the police report, the three men drove to a gas station and filled up a bottle with gas, which was used to set the car with Matthews’ body inside of it on fire.

The three suspects were caught on the Exxon’s surveillance cameras. All three suspects will face murder charges.
