The Cleveland Browns did something Thursday night that they haven’t done in 635 days. That gets an NFL victory.  Baker Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick replaced injured starter Tyrod Taylor and sparked the Browns, who got two 1-yard touchdown runs from Carlos Hyde and beat the New York Jets 21-17 on Thursday night for their first win since Dec. 24, 2016.

With the win, the Cleveland fans got to celebrate with free beer courtesy of Bud Light.  Bud Light devised a new marketing ploy last month that we can all celebrate: giving out free beer to the people of Cleveland. Specifically, free beer for when the Browns ended their winless drought.

The Mayfield-led Browns outscored the Jets 21 to 3, and out-gained them 239-151. Mayfield was a cool 17-for-23 for 201 yards and one easy reception to complete a two-point conversion.

Browns coach Hue Jackson got just his second win in 35 games since being hired by owners Dee and Jimmy Haslam, and this win will ease some of the pressure he’s been feeling to get Cleveland turned around. Jackson could also be faced with a difficult choice — either stick with Mayfield or go back to Taylor when he’s healthy.

For now, Cleveland can enjoy their 1-1-1 record after three games. Dilly, Dilly.
