In order for Yeezy to jump over the Jumpman on the basketball court, he will have to endure a battle with the NBA. ESPN reports the Yeezy basketball sneaker would be banned by the League due to a reflective material that is found on the heel of the shoe.

Industry sources state the reflective monochrome piece is a distraction for both fans in attendance at games and those who are watching on TV.

For Kanye and Adidas, the ban could be a pain, especially since 300 samples of the sneaker was designed to get to this launch point.

With the season just a couple of weeks away, Donovan Mitchell, Brandon Ingram, John Wall and more were potentially available to wear the sneaker. Looks like Adidas may have to set up a backup plan.
