Joel Embiid has a new sneaker home and will wear Under Armour kicks on the court when the season officially starts next week. Yahoo Sports reports the new deal, which will steal the Philadelphia 76ers star away from Adidas.
Embiid leaves behind James Harden, Derrick Rose, Brandon Ingram and other Adidas basketball stars to joining a roster at under Armour headlined by Stephen Curry and Dennis Smith Jr.
The latest move in the basketball sneaker endorsement competition comes after the emergence of PUMA Hoops who is making continuous big splashes in the market. Their latest move was an offer sheet to DeMarcus Cousins to lure him away from Nike and join Deandrea Ayton, Marvin Bagley III and more stars.
A formal announcement will arrive later today.
