Many fans around Los Angeles have noticed that LeBron James’ face has taken over the city. You can see the King of the Lakers on billboards everywhere and when you get near Staples Center it’s even more frequent. San Antonio Spurs Coach Gregg Popovich also noticed them when he hit Los Angeles Monday for the Spurs first shot at the new look Lakers.

However, before it got to business on the basketball court, Pop joked about LeBron’s new Beats by Dre ad that is plastered on one of the walls in L.A.

“It was horrifying to see LeBron’s face outside my hotel room,” Popovich told Sports Illustrated. “It was a big picture of him. Last night and all day today I gotta look at this guy putting his headphones on. He’s already big, but he’s monstrous. I was scared to death. I was scared to look out my window.”

But on the court, LeBron or the Lakers didn’t scare the Spurs who squeaked out a 143-142 overtime victory with a game-winner from Patty Mills and a couple missed LeBron free throws. The Lakers are now 0-3 and looking to get their first victory of the LeBron era against the Phoenix Suns. As for the Spurs, the new combination of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge appears to be working well, the team has won two of three games so far as those two combined for 69 points and 18 rebounds in last night’s outing.
