Dummy Boy to release on Friday, but trouble cannot seem to escape the New York rapper.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was allegedly arrested Sunday night. One of the controversial rapper’s most trusted sources, DJ Akademiks, took to Twitter for the announcement.

“I’m hearing RICO and Racketeering charged… don’t quote me on that,” said the Everyday Struggle co-host. “Won’t be able to tell exactly what he is being charged for until indictments are unsealed or feeds starting confirming what’s up. More info to come the morning.”

TMZ confirms the arrest stating law enforcement details 6ix9ine, his ex-manager, Shottie and Faheem Walter, known as Crippy, was also arrested. Crippy was shot during the event that occurred a couple of weeks ago at a New York City restaurant.

6ix9ine and the arrested men are facing racketeering and firearms charges. The arrest was led by the ATF, NYPD and Homeland Security in a joint effort.

6ix9ine has been fighting a number of charges and cases since his rise to fame. He even revealed on The Breakfast Club that he spent a substantial amount of money on court fees and security over the past year.

He has not had the a peaceful month of November. There was a shooting at his video shoot in Los Angeles for his song with Kanye West and Nicki Minaj a couple of weeks ago. Also 6ix9ine fired his entire team last week. According to the rainbow colored hair rapper, he caught wind of members on his team, who were stealing from him, and planning to extort him. Prior to the release of “FEFE” this summer, he was kidnapped and beaten before escaping.

Controversy continues to follow Tekashi 6ix9ine, but it does not seem to affect his success as an artist. Since November 2017, he is 10/10 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. His debut album, Dummy Boy, is set to be released Friday, November 23. The album features Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Tory Lanez and more. We’ll continue to keep tabs until the story of his arrest unfolds.
