After three years, the BBC announced the return of its popular drama Luther starring Idris Elba.
Luther has garnered rave reviews from audiences in the U.K. and in America. The show has built up a strong following since it first debuted on BBC One in 2010. Since its debut, Luther has consistently been one of the top-rated shows on BBC America. Without question, much of the acclaim of Luther is because of Idris Elba’s powerful performances as the star of the show.
Luther is a British crime drama television series starring Idris Elba as the titular character, DCI John Luther. As the lead inspector for the Serious Crime Unit, Luther is obsessed with his job and often mirrors that behaviors of the criminals he is investigating.
For his work, the sexiest man alive has won several awards including a Critics’ Choice Television Award, Golden Globe Award, NAACP Image Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance.
