Drake is the Top-Selling Solo Male Artist of All-Time in America Matt Van Sol December 7, 2018 Hip Hop News | Trending Hip Hop Stories According to the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), Drake has passed Elvis, Eminem and Michael Jackson for total music sales grossing up to $218,280,000 in sales. No other solo male artist has even broken $200,000,000, Elvis is second with 191,000,000 and Eminem is next at 172,000,000. Let’s be honest, Drake has the Midas touch when it comes to making hits and singles, even creating careers for people of just dawning their record with a feature or vice versa (I.E. The Weeknd, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Roy Woods, even The Migos with his “Versace” remix after hearing the track on Twitter blew them up to superstardom). Drake’s ability to collaborate with numerous artists along with having so many positive relationships throughout the industry has allowed him to touch so many singles that have topped the charts, that for a while anything he was on was a smash. He just has some kind of magic touch about him when he’s creating hooks for himself or any other artist. DVSN is probably the next to blow and Drake is definitely a big reason for their success after signing the R&B Canadian duo in 2015. Is Drake the greatest “artist” of our time?
