One of the best video game franchises ever is set to make a triumphant return in 2019. At the Game Awards 2018, the first trailer for Mortal Kombat 11, the latest entry in the classic fighting series, dropped with a brutal fight between Raiden and Scorpion.  At first, it looked like business as usual, until Raiden began to transform into a more terrifying version riddled with menacing red lightning. The song playing during the Mortal Kombat 11 trailer is called “Immortal” by 21 Savage.

The original Mortal Kombat was first released in 1992 and has seen 10 major releases since. Mortal Kombat 11 will be the first game for the franchise since Mortal Kombat XL which released in 2016. Boasting a new graphics engine, Mortal Kombat 11 promises to make every special move and fatality a visceral and thoroughly unpleasant experience for all.

Hype levels will be high for this one, which officially releases on April 23, 2019.  Fans can start pre-ordering the game on December 8 and that will get them access to the Beta and the Shao Kahn DLC once the game is released.
