The Golden State Warriors cover the latest issues of Sports Illustrated and are named “Sportsperson of the Year.”

The collective led by Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green cover the magazine and are celebrated for their three titles in four years, along with their influence on basketball ushering in a new era.

“The rise of the Warriors has coincided with the restoration of the NBA as a leading edge of culture that recalls the league’s prolonged boom, which began with the Magic-Larry years in the 1980s and continued through the Jordan-dominated ’90s,” SI notes.

The collective are also acknowledged for their work off the court, embracing politics and more.

The Warriors beat out LeBron James, Tiger Woods, Chloe Kim, Naomi Osaka, and Alex Ovechkin.
