Saucony is one of the OGs when it comes to running footwear, and now the brand is digging all the way back into the vaults from 1988 to reintroduce us to its Azura sneaker for a special 30th anniversary release.

What could easily be considered the perfect running shoe, both for its dope colorway and technical specs alike, the blue/yellow Azura is a true beauty to look at. The shoe’s lightweight construction works for everyday style wear and if you’re trying to hit the tracks, mainly due to its mesh construction and suede accents. The signature Saucony stripe is in place on the side panel as usual, and further detailing reveals a pinstripe-textured upper that extends to the tongue and a EVA midsole that’s color-blocked to perfection. To think people were looking this fly at the feet 30 years ago isn’t that hard to believe, but the fact that we went this long without a proper re-release is what’s the real kicker. Better now than never, right?

The Saucony Azura OG goes on sale for $85 USD at a host of select retailers, including Sneakersnstuff, beginning next Tuesday (December 18). Get a closer look at the returning retro below:
