Oscar-nominated actor Don Cheadle is back on Showtime with another series. Instead of the critically acclaimed dramas that he became famous for, his newest venture is a comedy. Set to debut on January 20th, co-starring Regina Hall, executive produced by Seth Rogen, Black Monday is the latest comedy to get the green light on Showtime.

Black Monday takes the audience “back to October 19, 1987 – aka Black Monday, a day historically remembered as the worst stock market crash in Wall Street history. It’s still a mystery to this day who or what caused the crash — until now. The plot tells the story of how a group of outsiders took on the blue-blood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, Don Henley’s birthday party, and the glass ceiling. The 10 episode series is sure to put a new spin on one of the most infamous days in the history of America.
