Amanda Nunes was an underdog all her life. Today, she might go down as the greatest female MMA fighter of all time. This weekend, she knocked out the most feared female striker in MMA history and it only took her 51 seconds.

The win also made Nunes the first female double champion in UFC history.

Nunes holds the UFC featherweight and bantamweight titles and has defeated both Ronda Rousey and Cyborg by first-round knockouts. Nunes won a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for her efforts. The knockout extended her winning streak to eight straight.

“Nothing was going to stop me from what I wanted to do tonight,” Nunes said post-fight. “When she connected with a couple of punches, I just said, ‘I’m going to walk right through her.'”

Nunes continued her post-fight interview with gratitude to her fans and the gilded MMA community that supports her year-round, including bride-to-be Nina Ansaroff who fights in the Strawweight division.

Nunes defied the odds inside the cage in a similar manner in which she has done in her steady rise to stardom. She was never as explosive as Justino or had the same crossover look as Rousey. But she has now violently knocked out both of them, each in less than a minute. In. just two years, Nunes’ legacy is already set in stone.
