BAPE was on fire for most of 2018, celebrating its 25th anniversary with collabs that seemed to be dropping on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. With only a week into 2019, the leading label in Japanese streetwear has no plans of slowing down, with a new Rolex-inspired TYPE 4 BAPEX watch releasing in just a few days.
The timepiece is decked out with a super shiny gold exterior, featuring a polished 42mm steel case, black dial and even glow-in-the-dark hands for a nightlife flex when necessary. As with most BAPE releases, the signature Ape Head is present in the design on the dial, clasp and back of the watch, in addition to “BAPEX by A BATHING APE” branding for an additional signature touch.
