Sometimes a survey among peers can show you everything you need to know about a situation. According to a recent poll conducted by The Athletic, an overwhelming amount of NFL defensive players believe that Colin Kaepernick belongs on an NFL roster right now.

Of the 85 current defensive players who agreed to participate in the poll, 81 of them believe that he should be.  Two players disagreed entirely, and two other players were indifferent to the whole question itself.

20 percent of voters said they would replace Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles with Kaepernick, and 18 percent said the same about Oakland Raiders quarterback Nathan Peterman.

“S—, any team that carries three quarterbacks for sure, the third guy on that roster. And a majority of the teams with two quarterbacks, he should be the backup,” one anonymous player told The Athletic. “And some places he should be the starter.”

Kaepernick has not played in the league since the 2016 NFL season. The former 49ers QB has filed a lawsuit against the NFL, accusing the 32 owners of collusion to keep him off a team after he began kneeling during the National Anthem.

He’s since become the face of a Nike campaign, which added $6 billion to the athletic wear company’s value.  Kaepernick may or may not ever play in the NFL again, but at least his peers still believe he got the talent to play in the league still
