Who would have thought that Kodak Black enjoys R&B classics? The Florida native took to his Instagram Live to pay tribute to America Idol break-out star, Fantasia.

The “Zeze” rapper often times uses his IG Live to says what’s on his mind or simply just have fun with his fans. Yesterday was no different. He hopped on The Gram to show off his singing skills, in the studio while kicking it with a group of his friends. Kodak is one of the best in the game when it comes down to putting together melodic raps, so many expected him to bust a new track from an upcoming project. However, the 21-year-old rapper opted not to do a melodic version of one of his own songs, but to perform a live rendition of Fantasia’s “When I See U.”

“@kodakblack stay singing this song and I Love it,”  she stated in her caption.

Since Kodak’s release from prison in April, he has been on a new path to success. He released his second album, Dying To Live last December. Dying To Live features Travis Scott, Offset, Juice Wrld and Lil Pump. The album’s lead single, “Zeze” peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. Kodak’s move to California is another testament to his success.
