The FBI along with the Chicago Police Dept. is conducting a criminal investigation in the alleged attack on Empire actor Jussie Smollett and images of the potential persons of interests have been released.

Yesterday, the CPD released two photographs of two potential persons of interest in the alleged hate crime. The pictures were stills taken from surveillance video captured on Tuesday between 1:30 am and 1:45 am when the alleged attack took place.

Police have confirmed that Smollett was seen on video walking away from the persons of interest before appearing again in the video with a noose around his neck.

The 36-year-old actor was on the phone with his manager when the attackers yelled racist and homophobic slurs at him.

The openly gay actor is said to be in good condition and has had several celebrities support Smollett and condemn the attack.
