With the 2019 NBA All-Star Weekend festivities going down in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina next week, it only makes sense that the Hornets would be on the minds of many basketball fans right now. As a shoutout to the franchise that even Jordan himself rides for exclusively, Nike put together a special edition Air Max 2 Light pack dedicated the team’s uniform colors.
It’s worth arguing that the Hornets might have the best colorway combo in the entire NBA, with the “Spirit Teal” and “Court Purple” hues pairing perfectly to create a visually-appealing flash of color down the court. For this two-shot deal, both hues are used in contrasting ways, with one iteration displaying a teal base with purple accents and the other opting for purple base and teal detailing. There are a few similarities between both options, including a black midsole, Air Max branding on the tongue and with translucent add-ons via the heel and lace locks.
