After Kawhi Leonard made the announcement back in November that he’d be leaving Jordan Brand for New Balance, “The Klaw” is now officially on Team NB as a Brand Ambassador and will debut his signature shoe this weekend during the NBA All-Star Game.
The Toronto Raptors star player is very elusive in the IG announcement seen above, and the longstanding sportswear brand follows suit by playing heavily on his notoriously low-key persona. The shoe itself makes the theme even more apparent, especially since the OMN1S — the official name of the sneaker — can easily be seen as a play on the word “ominous.” As Leonard is definitely one that lets his work on the court do the talking for itself, the silhouette is designed to reflect that same notion — reserved when it comes to wild colorways and eclectic features, but is sure to provide a performance-boosting experience for the ballers out there.
