Building off the #MyCalvins FW17 campaign that featured the whole A$AP Mob, Calvin Klein has now tapped the group’s head honcho A$AP Rocky for the latest SS19 rollout and accompanying advertisements.
Although not the sole star of CK’s traditionally intimate series of posters this time around — supermodel Kendall Jenner and pop sensation Shawn Mendes also strip down for the campaign — Rocky holds down the rap element on his own for the heritage lifestyle brand, which has always been prevalent through the likes of rappers Foxy Brown and Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes in the late ’90s/early 2000s all the way to our current Hip-Hop era with Fetty Wap, Joey Bada$$ and even Kendrick Lamar flexing for the Klein cam back in 2016. Denim, logo tees and classic undergarments make up the main portion of the featured items, and the ad itself is inspired by the freedom expressed through today’s youth culture, summed up perfectly by an overall theme titled “OUR NOW.”
