The fashion era that existed when MTV debuted back in 1981 was full of neon and bright vibrant colors, and now the longstanding music channel is bringing that style back with a surprising collaboration alongside PUMA.
The pack includes throwback-inspired iterations of the PUMA RS-X Tracks sneaker, including two colorway options that mix teal, purple, black and white in contrasting ways. While the color inspo is retro-themed, the silhouette itself is a step forward in the evolution of sneaker innovation, featuring a molded sock liner, thick midsole (see: “dad shoe” trend) and mesh side panels. As an added bonus, a capsule collection that comes complete with matching tees, shorts, tank tops and a standout tracksuit are included as well. Now, if only MTV would bring back the music videos, too!
