10 years after announcing the original Samsung Galaxy, the tech giant has announced the Samsung Galaxy 10 line of smartphones.

Samsung announced the S10, S10+, S10e and S10 5G. The S10 is the standard model while the S10+ increases its display, camera and performance specifications. The 10e is a more compact version with “premium essentials.” Lastly, the S10 5G includes the fastest download speeds of the bunch and will be available later in 2019.

Samsung also officially announced the “Galaxy Fold,” which as the name would suggest, would make it the unique “foldable” phone on the market. Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy Fold on April 26th, starting at $1,980, through AT&T and T-Mobile in the US, with a free pair of Samsung’s new wireless earbuds.

The device is 4.6-inches when closed, but when you open it up it has a whopping 7.3-inch infinity flex display. Apps will work when closed or when open and don’t forget you can display three apps across the flex screen for the ultimate device for multi-tasking.

Samsung is allowing the Galaxy Fold to run three apps at once on this Android device, and it’s using an app continuity system to adjust these apps when you move between tablet and phone modes. Apps like WhatsApp, Microsoft Office, and YouTube have all been optimized for the new display and modes, and Samsung has been working with Google to ensure Android 9 Pie fully supports this display.

With both new phones about to hit the market, Samsung is making their case for a breakout 2019.
