A Journal For Jordan is based on true events surrendering Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Dana Canedy’s love story with First Sergeant Charles Monroe. The journal is a combination of letters to their son Jordan, prayers, and insight to his life overseas which was recorded just in case Monroe never made it home from his deployment in Iraq. In addition to him being on the screen, Jordan is also slated to co-produce the film with Washington through his Outlier Society production.  It’s obvious that Jordan definitely loves being behind the cameras too. Earlier this year in an Instagram post, Jordan shared a trailer for an upcoming show on OWN Network that he co-produced with Oprah Winfrey.
