The 53-year-old referred to herself as a “walking addict” while revisiting her dark past on Tuesday’s show. She was discussing the tragic death of Luke Perry, who died at the age of 52 after suffering a stroke when she raised the topic of substance abuse.

“Once you’re a substance abuser, you have to battle that for the rest of your life,” she said. “I’ve told you about my ten-year ride with the cocaine and the crack. Oh, yes, crack is wack — but it was very good to me at a particularly stupid point in my life. … I was a mess, functioning, killing myself. I realize that I am a walking addict. Do you know what I’m saying? You can’t just clean it up and stop it and think it’s not going to affect you.”

After more than two months away from her talk show, the Hot Topics queen reiterated her Graves’ disease plus MRIs, cat scans and blood pressure tests was the reason for her absence. However, the rumor mill suggested that she was having troubles with her marriage to Kevin Hunter, who reportedly has a younger side chick, and she took time off to go deal with it.

“I had wasted a lot of my life, burning up my insides, which aren’t burnt, thank God, but you never know when it could pop up,” Williams said Tuesday. “So I constantly have to watch the inside of my body because of hard partying, plus, you know, the thyroid. Just a mess.”
