The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be a wrap but LeBron James still has individual accomplishments he can check off. During the Lakers loss last night to the Denver Nuggets, King James put up 31 points and passed Michael Jordan to take over the fourth spot on the NBA All-Time Scoring list.
Before the game, LeBron knew he was in for a special night, issuing a tweet about the moment and donning a costume Nike LeBron 16 that shows love to the legendary Jordan 3s. He wrote “Thank You M.J. 23” and drew a crown on the midsole of the sneaker.

LeBron would detail the impact of the game off the court to ESPN’s Rachel Nichols stating “I thank him more than he’ll ever know.
LeBron: “You guys have no idea what MJ did for me & my friends growing up. Some days you don’t feel like you’re going to make it to the next day.” Says he couldn’t afford Jordans but would go look at MJ’s posters in the store window. “I thank him more than he’ll ever know.”

The moment came on an And-1 bucket during the second quarter, resulting in a moment of congratulations from Lakers and Nuggets players, along with the entire Staples Center crowd.
“Of all the stuff I’ve done in my career, this ranks right up there at the top with winning a championship,” James said.
