Jordan Brand is currently celebrating 30 years since releasing the Air Jordan 4, which was first unveiled back in January with a special edition “Black Laser” iteration. Now, we’ll soon be treated to a classic colorway for the silhouette and Air Jordan series in general with a 2019 “Bred” reissue.

We all generally associate Michael Jordan’s signature colors with black and red — the two hues are commonly spliced into the popular term “bred” — and the connection to MJ’s days as a key member of the Chicago Bulls roster when these 4s initially dropped is no different for the occasion at hand. Actually, another key detail from the OG design makes a return too in the form of “Nike Air” branding, which we’ve been happily seeing on a lot of retro releases lately. Finished off with hits of grey on the eyelets, insole, midsole and most notably on the heel, these will definitely make you want to party like its 1989 — well, more like “ball or stunt like it’s 1989” depending on the club dress code. Either way, we foresee these being one of the top sneakers to watch for if you plan on hitting the streets in style for the upcoming spring season.

Check for the 2019 Air Jordan 4 “Bred” to hit JB retailers and Nike.com for $200 USD on May 11. Peep these initial images below for a preview:
