The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics rivalry continue to be the marquee rivalry in the NBA’s Eastern Conference. Joel Embiid is doing his part to let the Celtics know he isn’t a fan of their team.
Embiid was a force to be reckoned with at Wells Fargo Center, dropping a game-high 37 points to go along with a career-high 22 rebounds in the 76ers’ comeback win over the Celtics. Embiid took to Instagram to share a celebratory postgame photo, and it appears the location on the post has some added meaning.
Tuesday: FS1 airs an interview in which Terry Rozier calls Joel Embiid “lame.”
Wednesday: Sixers beat the Celtics, Embiid posts this on IG. Note the “location” and also the pic with Jimmy Butler. pic.twitter.com/Y0WitgiZXH

Embiid and Rozier have a history as the two got in a shoving match during the playoffs last year.
Embiid has somewhat taken things easy on social media before ramping back up on Wednesday night. His last great post came after a win over the Timberwolves in January.
The Celtics and 76ers don’t like each other. Both teams are loaded with trash talkers. Embiid and Roizer just happen to be the trash talking captains for each respected team.
This season, the Sixers and Celtics have a chance to meet again in the postseason, probably in the second round. Last season, the Celtics eliminated the 76ers in five games. This time around, the 76ers have a well-rounded roster.
In the end, it’s good to see teams and players that actually don’t like each other, can actually intensify the rivalry on social media.
