Our friends over at Beautiful Fül, the Cali-based menswear brand that continues to impress us season after season, return for SS19 with a new collection that mixes art and fashion in a way that’s, with all irony intended, simply beautiful.

The collection, titled “The Artist’s Way,” is the brainchild of head designer Alejandro Rodriguez and his idea of what a real-life artist would have in his or her closet. His vision comes to life both through the clothing itself and the lookbook seen here, which features artwork by painter Eric Mancha and rising model Alex Ordonez as the face of the collection. While the go-to theme would be to utilize a “paint splatter” effect on tees, jackets and menswear essentials, this set expands way beyond that aesthetic to create something greater, well-tailored and much more detailed altogether. Sure, there’s a pair of jeans that feature white paint in a distressed pattern, but the real standouts come in the form of pieces like the Denim Chore Coat that comes with three removable Italian suede collars in “Dusty Pink,” “Camel” and “Forest Green” as seen in the lead image above. Other key pieces include a “Burning Heart” sport shirt with custom-printed designs, a snake-print Italian leather trucker jacket, hand over-dyed and painted BDU jacket in Japanese cotton “Tiger Camo” twill and the multiple distressed denim options amongst other items.
