Kanye West in developing an anthology series for Showtime and has tapped Jaden Smith to play a young Mr. West.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show which is titled Omniverse, is a collaboration from West, Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, Westbrook Studios, and writer Lee Sung Jin.
Omniverse is described as a limited half-hour anthology series “examining the many doors of perception.” The first season will explore ego through the alternative reality of West. The series will also be the first anthology show on Showtime in quite some time.
In a statement, the scriptwriter Jin says, “I’m honored and thrilled to be collaborating with everyone involved to present an alternate world through the eyes of a young man somewhere in the multiverse who happens to also be Kanye West.”
While the plot script for season one of Omniverse has been commissioned. There are no other details available.
