Super Bowl champion Victor Cruz has been quite visible on various platforms since retiring from professional football last summer, and his latest venture sees the former Giants wide receiver heading back into the sneaker world by way of a new signature shoe deal alongside French designer Pierre Hardy.
The new V.C.I silhouette comes in three specially-designed colorways that each give a look into the most prominent stages of Cruz’s past football career. For the “1996,” a multicolored option that mixes croc skin and camo, the theme focuses in on the year he fell on love with football as a 10-year-old with a pipe dream. That dream then becomes a reality with the all-black “2006,” inspired by the year he went varsity as one of the Massachusetts Minutemen during his time at UMASS. The third and final “2012” colorway is probably the most prominent for fans, as it borrows the team uniform colors of his old New York Giants squad and more specifically the year they won Super Bowl XLVI. Premium built and boasting an abstract chunky sole, there’s a lot of promise from this collection that opens up a completely new lane for the young sports icon. Keep cruising on to the top, V!
